Resume: This paper discusses various anaphoric expressions and the textual dependency and cohesion that they convey, with a special focus on the anaphoric ellipsis. On the basis of a classification model distinguishing between anaphoric, cataphoric and exophoric “reference valency”, anaphoric NPs, pro-forms and ellipses are compared with NPs that establish an exophoric reference parallel to, but not depending on, that of an anteceding NP, i.e. cases which should not be termed anaphoric. The paper examines the co-textual restrictions linked to the different expressions investigated (including null forms) and distinguishes between four co-textual dependencies: thematic, referential, lexical, and structural. Unlike the other anaphoric expressions, the ellipsis exhibits all four dependencies and is therefore defined as the strongest cohesion marker of the ones investigated. Resume: The aim of this paper is to show in what way football clubs in smaller leagues with limited capacity utilisation can increase their per-game revenue by increasing the attendance frequency. A sequential mixed method research design was employed, involving both qualitative and quantitative methods, studying two clubs: Malmö FF in Sweden and FC København in Denmark. In order for the subject clubs to increase the attendance frequency of the spectators, these must be moved towards a higher level of the Psychological Continuum Model. The quantitative phase was comprised of a survey distributed at three separate occasions for each of the subject clubs. Four segments were identified to be of particular interest, two from each of the subject clubs. The two segments defined for Malmö FF were termed Entertainment Seeking Families and the Price Conscious Group of Friends. The two segments defined for FCK were termed Price Sensitive Experience Hunters and Family Focused Fans. It is shown how the two clubs can provide tailored experiences specifically designed towards the identified attendant segments. In doing so, an increased range of psychological associations will be created in the minds of the attendants, thus strengthening the psychological connection, increasing the likelihood of upwards movement in the psychological continuum and rate of attendance. A View from the Sociology of CritiquePresskorn-Thygesen, Thomas (Frederiksberg, 2015)[Flere oplysninger][Færre oplysninger]
Resume: This article examines the forms of mobility that characterize contemporary work life. In doing so, it applies the theoretical framework associated with Luc Boltanski’s sociology of critique (Boltanski, 2012 [1990]; Boltanski and Thévenot, 2006 [1991]) and argues that this framework offers a fruitful and important perspective in conceptualizing and understanding the forms of mobility that are becoming increasingly prevalent in today’s knowledge work. The sociology of critique allows one to chart the economic and historical conditions of mobility critically, while its sociology of morals also allows us to explore the distinctly normative side of new forms of mobility without succumbing to a celebratory picture of work-related mobility. More specifically and in the context of the ‘kinetic elite’, the article explores how Boltanski and Chiapello’s (2005) analysis of a ‘projective order of worth’ can help us understand the attractiveness of constantly being ‘on the move’. Qualitative data from three exemplars of this elite group of workers is used to illustrate how the ideal of being mobile is perceived as an often problematic imperative, but also as one which is nevertheless rewarding and worth living up to.
